PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Our team has the mission to build SAP Data Intelligence (SAP DI) It is a big data platform and allows to define, execute, schedule and maintain data pipelines. Those pipelines read structured, semi-structured or unstructured data from a variety of sources and apply operators to that data. These can be standard operators – e.g. type conversions, image processing operations – or generic operators such as scripts or programs from a variety of programming languages. The output of a data pipeline is typically stored in one or more target systems. The execution of these pipelines is done in a containerized, distributed environment that runs on Kubernetes. In the area of machine learning (ML), pipelines are used for both, training an ML model and applying the latter to a set of data. SAP DI comes in various flavours: as a simple and shared offering as part of SAP's Data Warehouse Cloud (DWC), as an exclusive DI cloud or as an on-premise DI system.
We are looking for students to bring their budding talents to the SAP Data Intelligence Development team.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a student in the SAP Data Intelligence team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.
We offer a lot of different topics for students.
Past examples include:

• Implementation of machine learning scenario via training and prediction pipelines on SAP DI
• Integrate SAP Data Intelligence pipelines with existing streaming technologies
• Define and prototype continuous integration pipelines for SAP Data Intelligence for different Cloud platforms
• SAP Pipeline Engine on Raspberry Pi

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Please enter the required skills and competencies.

• Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science or related fields
• Computer skills: Java/Scala, JavaScript, Python or Golang
• Language skills: fluent English or German
• Soft skills: Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team
